Its been more than a year since I followed one of the awesome guides here on the installation of homebrew and what not.
I remember vaguely that I had wanted to get wiiware on the system but that it was way too complex somewhat. Now though I find myself ready to come back to get wiiware working on the system and figured that I could simply log on to the wiishop and buy me some games.
There are 2 problems though:
1) The moment I go online I'm prompted to accept this terms and conditions thing for wiiconnect24.
2) My wiishop is obviously outdated so I'd have to update it
Would be great if someone can shine some light on whether
1) will brick my wii as there is a line somewhere that says that the update to the wii console may be done without your knowledge (to that effect) and
2) Whether that can be safely done online
I'm not averse to following instructions, just not sure where to find it.
For information, I'm currently on USB Loader GX v1.0 if that helps anyhow.
Thanks in advance for assistance!
Answer to question 1): It will not brick or update the wii without your consent.
Answer to question 2): There is a guide here to update the shop channel (I believe it's even on the frontpage on wiihacks (wiihacks.com/content)), use that guide and you will be fine.
Awesome sig picture does not work
