How to save / backup all personal Wii data?

How to save / backup all personal Wii data?

Everything, the personal data like my saved games and Miis.

Is there an easy way to copy everything?
Can I use a USB flash drive, or does it have to be an SD card?

Thanks. I backed up all of my saved games and Miis, although SaveGame Manager GX froze a few times.

Do you know if I reformat the Wii, will I be able to restore those saved games and Miis? Would it cause problems?

Yes you would be able to, but don't format the Wii. That tends to cause problems.

diniMretsaM is correct do not format the wii, and with your saves if you delete them off the wii you will have to play that particular game again before reinstalling the save game file from GX. I hope i'm correct in saying that.
