    Cfgloader

    Hi,
I have a problem with the above loader, I have sort modded my Wii (4.3e), Installed The Homebrew Channel, Installed CfgLoader, set it as a Channel.
I then formated my USB Stick using wbfs 3.0 placed it in my Wii started cfg all was fine, Ripped a couple of my games to it again all was fine. I then finished playing etc. I then shut the Wii down (Completely Off) went to load CFG the next day and nothing.

I have Reformatted the USB again and CFG is working, could the problem be that the Wii is being Shut-down, instead of Standby (Usb is left plugged in.)
Any Help or Advice would be greatly received. The reason I want this sorted is because the USB Stick is Temporary while I get this sorted I have a 500 Gb Western Digital Harddrive that I plan to use. Until CFG is working right I do not want to use the bigger drive.

Hi starlord. This is not in any way an insult. I read daily the mess people get into with modding their consoles and setting up Hard drives, Now i'm sure you can read, First off do the mod any wii guide, (Mauifrog) Stick to it right through, Then take a look at this.
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ide-fat32.html
    And This
    http://www.wiihacks.com/software-bac...sb-loader.html

It really is quite simple, Check which version your console is running and which region, Gather the neccessary files, and away you go. be patient, Your first mods are scary I know, but slow down, Then you will get the results your after. Leave the tutorial open on your pc and follow it.

PS I use both CFG and GX loaders. Without problems FAT 32 is my choice of format. It is sometimes difficult to get a USB stick to behave exactly as a USB HDD. I have had them running Fine for days, 16gb Then decided to change the games, BANG, Write protection errors. Then spent days trying to remove write protection,Load everything up and add one game at a time, Play it then, add another.
There are other file management programs but thats another story.
    laters,

First of Apologies for posting in the wrong section.

Secondly Thank you Grandpa1959 I'm Fairly certain it was muifrog's guide I used. The Wii was soft modded using the Banner Bomb exploit.

I take it it is not a problem with the wii completely shutting down (Not standby)

I may wait now until I have the Bigger hard drive to use the tutorial, in the meantime I may have a read through to familiarise my self with the steps.

Bizarrely at the time of writing CFG is recognising the USB but not GX Loader, I will follow the tutorial to the letter and see how I get on.

your USB 3.0 is interfering.. Im guessing that it is 2.0 compatible hence somewhat working but its causing issues.. Use a 2.0 usb device..

All sorted 500GB Hard drive Formatted as per tutorial Both GX and CFG recognise it. Just one thing can you attach more than one hard drive to the Wii (?) Will both loaders recognise. All I need know is a way to do the same with the 360 and I will have a Disk free Life. (DVD Collection on a 1Tb Hard Drive and 1Tb+ Server).

No Probs it was a thought for the future, but then I have about a dozen games and have only used 10 Gb of space so no worries.
