Very cool, thanks a lot. Wiimc can play them through the hard drive right? Also is it worth buying madcats HD component cables to make it look better?

I use component cables myself and I think it makes a big difference. Its not full HD by any means, but it does improve the quality IMHO.

My hard drive is currently formatted to play homebrew so my computer no longer is able to use it as a storage device. Can I use the same hard drive for my movies as well or do I need a second?

if your hdd is formatted to fat32 or ntfs then you can use it for everything

    backups
    movies
    apps
    pics
    music
    etc etc etc
