Call of Duty: Black Ops - update, should I be scared?

My Wii has a Wassabi V2 Chip so I can back up games, and play them.

Call of Duty: Black Ops - I've copied a PAL version to a DVD but before I go into the game it says 'System Update' on the disc channel (not on the Wii settings panel - I'm still on 4.3E).

    Is it safe to update?

don't update, just force ios 249 and just back it up on hard drive or usb stick and play the game from there. also if in the game it ask to update the internet that would be ok. but as for the system update that would cause you to have to reinstall cios files aka wads for ios 200 and above.

I don't have priloader, but I have Homebrew and USB Loader GX. COD won't run from the hard drive and I've also got a burned copy on DVD.

How do I 'force ios 249'?

So the system update is a bad idea? On here (Can I update my modded wii, currently on 4.3e firmware with a wasabi dx modchip? - Yahoo! UK & Ireland Answers) it says fine...
