a little help installing a channel

    HI
I've done all the softmodding by following a guide, I play old games via an sd card from the homebrew channel. I have games on an external HDD and have used WBFS manager to set it all up but now I need USB Loader GX as a channel as I don't have a large enough SD card to put it on my card.
How do I install just the channel? I need very easy step-by-step instructions please. I have been playing games from backup discs but they are too slow so want to play them from the HDD as i've read that they will be quicker to load etc
any help is very much appreciated.
    Thank you

Downloads - usbloader-gui - USB Loader GX: GUI for Waninkoko´s USB Loader (based on libwiigui) - Google Project Hosting

download the 4th package on that page, and unzip it: USBLoader_GX_V2_3_AllinOnePackage_IOS249.zip
it has many files inside, just use the one inside the 'wad' folder, that says v2.3 AHBPROT wad, etc etc..
put it in the 'wad' folder of your sd card, if you don't have one, create it on the root of the sd1
use homebrew channel to load MMM (Multi-Mod Manager)
    select wad manager.
    follow the on screen instructions.

OK thanks heaps for that but I have a problem.
I get to the wad manager and there are 4 files in there for the USB Loader, which ones do I select? The first one takes me directly to the USB loader and doesn't install the channel, I haven't tried the second one. The third and fourth ones i've done I have two channels for USB loader and everytime I click on them the wii restarts and i'm taken back to the channel select screens.
sorry for being such a noob

OK sorry, I just re-read your post and you have said to JUST put the one file into the wad folder. So i've done that it was the third file that I was talking about. When I click it as a channel the system restarts. It doesn't go to the wad manager.

Yes the HDD is formatted correctly because I can get into it and play the games I have on it when I go to the first file that is in the wad folder following the instructions from the previous poster.

As for the guide, when I originally softmodded I used this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

When I go to homebrew this is the info that I get for the version I guess.

If you followed mauis guide 249 is the one you want.

and the one you are trying to load is for GX 2.0..

Use the guide I linked you to for GX 2.3.. and how did you mod your wii with a 2mb sd??? you mean 2GB?
