New Wii Model RVL-101 (Non-Game Cube Compatible)

I am looking for feedback from anyone that might have a newer model Wii, this would be the one released around August 2011, does not stand up, might be referred to as a Holiday Bundle at the current time, but Nintendo refers to it as the Family Edition or more technically model RVL-101. This wii model has no Gamecube controls ports or Gamecube memory stick ports available. I want to know if Homebrew can be successfully installed on this model wii and if so, what might any of the limitations be, if any?

At this point any wii console can be softmodded. The limitation would be anything to do with gamecube controllers, memcards, or anything else to do with gamecube.

Thanks for the reply, I don't intend to offend, yet I hesitate to trust in absolutes; one day following another day is not proof there will be a guaranteed tomorrow. The logic of the limits is only reasonable, yet I would like to know specifically what has been done on this model and specifically what can not be done. Has the GC ports just been removed or are there more changes aside from its plastic packaged shell?

The insides are completely the same. The ports have been removed most probably to make it possible for the outer shell to be made smaller.

The only limitation you have is that if the power/reset/eject buttons don't work with bootmii then the option of using a GC controller has gone.

I bought one on Black Friday, not knowing it was missing the GC features. I installed homebrew channel the other day. It works without a problem. It runs 4.3, so find a guide to installing homebrew with 4.3 and you'll be set.

The newer model Wii's RVL-101 can not play backups burned to a disc, period. The only options are to, 1) completely replace the optical drive with an older one, 2) install a modchip (most don't involve soldering) 3) backup the games to a hdd via usb. I noticed that on the newer Wii's, Wiiflow is the best and easiest for launching/loading backups via usb for someone less experienced.

I'm pretty sure that's how I navigate through the menu on mine.
