d2x cIOS Installation Guide & Hermes question

Was wondering if after the installation of d2x v7 if hermes IOS would still be needed to play certain games like COD Black Ops or COD MW3? I'm not going to uninstall any IOS files but just wondered if they would still be relevant.

Also the part in the d2x cIOS Installation Guide particularly the "Add a New cIOS in the Installer"...is this required? From what I'm reading it just seems like something that you COULD do later if need be?

Anyway just hoping to get a bit of clarification before I install.

I'm also assuming that I should do an offline installation if my sys check doesn't match this...

???I'm not entirely clear as weather or not my "BASE" should match before I install is what I'm trying to say???

    Supported IOS Bases

    IOS37
    IOS38
    IOS53
    IOS55
    IOS56
    IOS57
    IOS58

    Recommended IOS Base and Slot

    247[37]
    248[58]
    249[56]
    250[57]

    Recommended Bases for Mighty Channels

    IOS53
    IOS55

**Note: Base 38 has ES- identify patch which is required by older apps that only run on ios249, i.e Wad Manager 1.4**

According to the installation instructions for offline method I'm under the assumption that I would only have to do this once right? Meaning if i select IOS36 or 236 Id select the cIOS to install which would be D2X V7 base 56 CIOS slot 249 and it would update all or would i have to do it for all the cIOS slots id wanna change??? The i.e. is whats confusing me???

    Online Install
    - Download and extract to SD/USB
    - Load the HBC and load the d2x installer
    - Select IOS36 or 236 to use during the instllation
    - Select cIOS to install <D2X v7>
    - Select base IOS i.e <56>
    - Select cIOS slot i.e <249>
    - Press A to install

So I just ran a sys check and realized that I am not running any versions of the d2x cIOS's at all. Do I need version 6 to install version 7? What cIOS slots should I update?

    sysCheck v2.1.0b13 by Double_A and R2-D2199
