Ok. I grabbed a Refurbished Wii from Gamestop (for the kids) and noticed it already has System Menu 4.3U on it. I continued to softmod it utilizing the LetterBomb (freakin' sweet BTW) and started installing BootMii and HBC.
Well, I noticed that it allowed me to flash BootMii as boot2 (which I did). This was new since we bought our main Wii just before the black one came out a couple years ago and it wouldn't let me install as boot2.
Is there something I'm missing? I thought 4.x killed the ability to flash boot2.
It's not the system menu which killed boot2 ability, but the new boot1. boot1 resides in a sort of read-only (not totally true, but close to the truth) memory, so we can't modify it. So it has nothing to do with the system menu, but with the production date.
Awesome sig picture does not work
