Not a tough challenge to understand.
But when he said he 'tried it both ways' he was still referring to the sound problem. meaning, he tried the hack option both 'enabled' and 'disabled', no? he didn't reply in regard to the disc loading problem at all.

I'm not saying this is the problem, but, Youtube guides are fail, bro. Any mod here would tell you that.

*clicks youtube link* oh I see the video guide has 1,286 likes, 22 dislikes. maybe that one is not quite full-fledged fail. still, I think you're better off with mauifrog's guide.

P.S. don't type your responses inside the quote tags, makes it confusing for others to read, and in turn, in diagnosing your problem.

Ok, now this one is odd... I just moved the cables to another input and I get sound, but the picture quality went to crap. So I think maybe somethings up with the wii?

Yes, thats right I tried it both ways in the wii hack settings.

I'm not quite sure. It could be the wire, the Wii itself, or the TV connection. Try to move it to another TV set, or something like a VCR/DVD that has an input.

I had my Wii wire go out a few days ago, I broke my tv inputs panel, in my attempt to get it to work. so whatever you do, don't force it. LOL

I just went through mauifrog's softmod guide, and I still get the same problem.... It must be the wii, I just had to replace the video cable because it was giving a crappy video. And to be honest, Im not really sold on the soft mod idea. It seems so much easier to me to just solder in a mod chip? Maybe Im just odd like that....lol But thank you so much for all the help! I will be sending this home with the gf, and she will try it on her tv. If its crap, I will just get her another one.

I just hooked it up, and she gets sound. So I'm not sure what's wrong with my new tv.... But I'm glad I'm over that hump! I'm sorry for the trouble, but thank you again for trying to help now I need to buy some different dvd's and see if they work! Since I have redone it now, the USB loader software just shuts down when I start it. Is there an uninstall for that, and is it a simple install again? Thank you!!!
