    Dual Layer Loading Problem

    Hi there.

I had softmodded my Wii months ago using Messies 4.2 guide. I recenlty updated the mod using the 'Softmod Any Wii' guide.

I ripped a couple of my new games to my HDD (EA Boogie and Jowood Yoga, when I say 'my games' I mean the families games ) anyway I have noticed that any dual layer game that has ripped just black screens.

I'm tackling EA Boogie first, but have noticed none of my 8GB ISO files will load, just black screen.

I use USB Loader GX Primarily (v2.3 IOS249 rev20) but I have recently put on WiiFlow and CFG-USBLoader (no joy with them either)
In order to get EA Boogie work, I have tried setting the game load settings to use cIOS249 222 and 223 (black screen) I tried selecting ssx.dol from a list (black screen) I tried extracting ssx.dol from the iso using wiiscrubber and selecting it from the SD card on boot, but again just a black screen.

I beleive theres a simple setting or perhaps a cIOS/IOS I've missed somewhere that should make this work.

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I am reading as well as posting but keep getting lost in guides/documents and want to solve it asap.

    Thank you for any help!

I first followed Messies guide ages ago, then a few days back I ran through the softmod any wii guide but left out things I didnt need/want, such as downgrading to 4.1 (not sure if thats a good idea or not)

What would you suggest the fix is? I have some time today to get this sorted if I can be pointed in the right direction.

How did you rip the games to the hdd? What format is your hdd?

Downgrading to 4.1 is optional, not a big deal to leave out. What else did you skip from the guide?

Some were from disk to usb hdd (WBFS)

Some ISO's were extracted from another HDD using WBFS to my laptop, then put on my new HDD using WBFS.

EDIT: from the guide I left out

    1. Installing HBC, as I already had it from Messies Guide
    2. Downgrading to 4.1
    3. Upgrading the shopping channel
    4. Region Change (didnt need)

Bootmii, Priiloader were done, the Euro-Modpack-PAL-E was done, 25 wads installed OK.

Boogie superstar is not a dual layer game. If its that big then something is very wrong. It is a music game though and may need some special attention. Look at the music games guide for help on that.

OK Thanks I will do, perhaps they are bad rips.

These are the games that are 8GB ISOs as they are still on my Laptop:

    1. Alien Syndrome
    2. EA Boogie
    3. Excite Truck
    4. Trauma Centre SO
    5. Yoga

What concerns me from this post is the reply above that states I have a mis match syscheck, with lots of Trucha. As this is obvioulsy not normal, I believe sorting this would be step 1 (correct me if I'm wrong)

And so would you recommend re-running the 'Softmod Any Wii" guide again? or perhaps something else.

Thank you for your help so far, really appreciate it!

Following the softmod any wii guide is the best way to know that you have a great mod setup.....so yeah, do that. Your syscheck is not a complete mess but that guide will make it very simple for us to be able to help you and it's pretty simple to run it.

As far as your dual layer games.......none of those are. You may be better of re ripping the originals through your wii.

Syscheck looks fine, now you have to figure out why those games are such large files. None of them are dual layer games.
