    Issues with Bootmii and MMM?

Ok here we go, I'll try to be short but precise...

I soft-modded my daughters Wii using mauifrogs guide last week. It all "seems" to be working, as in I have been able to copy our game iso's to the HDD and play them with no apparent problems.

But As I am trying to further learn and do more stuff, I noticed that when I click on bootmii in HBC, nothing happens, my screen goes blank and the blue console light just starts blinking. I have to do a hard shut down to reboot. I was originally trying to get it to load directly off the HDD instead of the sd card, as well as directly in to either cfg or wiiflow, but couldn't find priiloader anywhere anymore.

Also noticed I didn't have MMM in the HBC menu anymore so just installed that back on the sd card, but when I go to Wad Manager and try to install any wad, it comes up as "not completed" every time.

Since the games are playing ok, it seems kind of minor, but still seems like something is not working the way it should... (??)

    Spoiler

    Thanks, Terry

Well, bootmii tries to load files of you SD card in the bootmii folder. Those files are not present, so it crashes. If you want to launch priiloader, you need to hold reset when you turn of the wii.
Awesome sig picture does not work

So do I need to load bootmii for anything anymore?

And yes I figured out what I was doing wrong launching priiloader, thanks!

But I'm still having problems installing wads. I have them in a folder named wad, on the root of the sd card. No matter which one I try to install, like a wiiflow forwarder from wiiflowiki, it says "1 did not complete."

Have you tried "Load another IOS" and selecting 236 or 36 before attempting wad installation?

Ok... I loaded ios236 and was able to install all but one wad, changed back to ios58 (which it said was current before switching to 236), then rebooted and it said my wii's memory was full, so I deleted some old data and moved some other data and channels to the sd card to open up some blocks. So then I went back to install the one wad that didn't complete earlier, it said my current ios was 249 and not 58... (?) So now I'm curious if it switches the ios as needed by itself? And also wondering why I was able to install wads on ios236 but not on the current? I guess I still don't have a good understanding of how the ios's work.

All seems to be working fine now, but would still like some simple explanation of how that all worked.

    thanks for all the help!

Hi, i am new here and had a similar question. i have had hbc installed and properlly working with game backups and all but then decided to re-install it using the s/m any guide and noticed that i cannot load bootmii when i do it loads MMM, before i re-did the install my disk drive light just kept flashing, now it doesent seem like a big problem but i wanted to install wiiflow and i cannot do that without the nad back-ups.

    Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Had a de-de-de moment, installed MMM and loaded hackmii with that
