trying to play backups on wii homebrew black screen

First time trying to mod my wii to play backups and i fear its gone horribly wrong...

Read the letterbomb guide install homebrew channel and BootMII and then got a load of apps to install via homebrew like wad manager with the new ios to install backup channel to play the backups but i get to load homebrew and then its just a black screen and Wiimotes go off... 4.3 PAL is the firmware version and im completely stumped now when i google theres just a load of idiots who cant give a straight answer to the question that homebrew gives a black screen... lol

No you haven't broken your wii. You just need to follow that guide all the way through to become fully modded... Is it HB or bootmii that black screens?

starting with step one of THE guide and going through it to completion will get you back on track.

Do what narse1979 say's. Follow the guide all the way. It's quite simple. When i first modded mine i read through guide 3-4 times to make sure i understood everything.
U'r best bet would be using a usb loader as well. The Wii dvd drive is not the best drive for games like COD Black opps. I've got through 2 drives since i modded my Wii using my game back-ups. usb loader much better. Look it up in forums, you wont be disappointed.
