Used Mauifrog's guide to change Wii Region, would now to like change back to original

    Hey Guys,

I used Mauifrog's amazing guide to softmod my American Wii to a Euro version so I could play Xenoblade. I'd now like to switch it back to a US version so I can play Skyward Sword, but I am very confused on how to do so. According to the guide, I switched this version by going into the System Menu version and changed that to Euro, can I go into that program and switch it back to USA or will I have to download anymore files? I don't use any other homebrew features, I just need it to play my European version of Xeno and my American versions of my other wii games.

On a side note, I also haven't finished Xenoblade yet (60 hours in and still working my way through, it's that much fun) would switching the region possibly corrupt my Euro save file? Common sense says that I should wait to switch it until I can beat the game, but I'd like to take a short break from Xeno to play Zelda for a bit and then switch back. If that's not possible (or recommended) I can just try to get through Xeno and then switch back permanently. I would really appreciate any help you guys can provide, I'm a first time poster, but I've read through the forums for a little while now and really like how helpful people have been (as opposed to most other message boards).

You do not need to change the region to play games from other ones. Just set your loader to display the correct video for that particular game.

Thank you very much Skellinator for the quick response! I'm still a bit confused by the response though, putting my US games into the Wii tells me that the game will simply not load, but my sole European game still works fine. I'm also unsure how to get back into my loader. I have the homebrew channel loaded onto my wii, but when I try to load Bootmi, the screen just turns black, my wiimote turns off nothing happens from there. Is there something different I should be doing? Thanks again for being so helpful!

Ahhh, you are disc loading I guess. I think the region free option in priiloader will allow you to play out of region disc on your wii, assuming it is correctly modded. I am not 100% sure on that. If you use cfg loader, usb loader gx, or wiiflow you will be able to force your region on the game.
