Playing games from SD card instead of USB?

I can easily play games from usb by using usb loader gx. But I wanted to play from the sd card since my sd card has a bigger size than my usb. Is that possible? Can usb loader gx detect games from the sd card?

I don't think you can use a SD Card in GX, but you can use a SD in Neogamma.

I don't know why you would want to play games of an SD card? You say they are bigger then and HDD you must have a small HDD. You must also be using a 4.0+ system that allows you to use SDHC cards upto 64GB. The cost of external hard drives are becoming cheaper by the week, buy an bigger HDD.

@Keith1956 - Running games from an SD card is cleaner than using an external hard drive since you don't need anything plugged into a USB port. If you don't play a lot of games then a 16GB or 32GB SD card may suffice.

For those of you that are running games from SD cards - can you point us to a guide on how to do this? How do you point your game loader app to the SD drive, or does it just find games automatically if they are in a games folder or something like that.

One other issue- many of the guides recommend using regular SD cards and not SDHC cards. Is this still the case? If so it limits you to 2GB SD cards which isn't that practical for holding games.

    Zaph:

in CFG USBLoader in the settings (top left by power button) > SYSTEM you can choose which mass storage device you want to use such as USB or SD

i'm using a 16 gig sdhc card with no problems

i've never tried to play a game from it thou but maybe that will get you where you need to be going.
