WBFS not transfering some...not all games properly

Ok guys Im stumped on this one. I have a 2TB WD My Book essential that I'm using to back up games. WBFS copies all ISO's properly. When I attach it to the Wii only some games will play. Others games will try to load but only "reboot" to the main Wii screen. I have a WD 1TB that works fine no issues with all games. Could it have to do with the larger 2TB drive? Just don't get why some games work fine and others just reboot the Wii? I typically use wiiflow but I have tried GX loader and CFG and same issue occurs. If anyone one is using a WD 2TB My Book and formatting with WBFS successfully please point me in the right direction...thanks in advance

P.S I see that this HD is on the compatibility list...so it must be an issue with WBFS formatting and over 1TB capacity??. Maybe I should try to format as FAT32. That sucks because all my backups are already saved in WBFS loader. How would I extract them and transfer them over to FAT32??

Is the games partition set to active and primary?

Look at the Fat32 guide all you are looking for is in there.

Ps You could always use the original disks to rip them to a fat32 hdd...

Ok thanks for the advice. Would not having the drive set to primary and active cause only some of the games not to load while others on the drive load fine? Thanks for your help

It's random games. Of the 100+ games probably half will not load. These same games play fine on my 1TB WD my passport no problem. So my guess is WBFS is not transferring them to the 2TB properly. Now that I think about it, the 2TB drive did not have a steady flashing light (indicates data transfer) for the entire time it was coping over files. The light would flash then go solid for periods of time and then flash again. That cant be good. I tried re-installing WBFS I'm running Windows 7 64bit btw,. I also tried WBFS on an older machine with Windows XP and had same issues. I have read that WBFS has issues formatting larger than 1TB drives. Can anyone confirm this?? Maybe its time to just scrap WBFS and go with FAT32 and use Wii backup manager for ISO's. Your thoughts??

Just a quick update on this thread. So I ended up taking back my 2TB drive and purchasing a 1TB WD. Hooked it up to WBFS and it copied over backups with no issues. My guess is WBFS does not like over 1TB capacity for some reason. My 2TB WD Essential was on the compatibility list however it did not work for me. It would be nice if the compatibly list stated how the drive was formatted when testing i.e WBFS, FAT etc. Hopefully this will help some others when running into issues with WBFS and larger capacity HD over 1TB
