How to recover from a 4.3U update

    Hi all,

I know you've heard this one before ... an over-zealous family member took it upon himself to update the Wii that was soft modded using the wonderful 'Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus!'. Now none of the backup titles runs off the USB hard drive.

I understand one possible solution is to re- softmod using mauifrog's "softmod ANY wii". But I would like to know if the nand backup I created from the 'Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus!' guide could be of help in possibly restore my Wii back to 4.2U. I have both the nand and keys.bin files.

    sysCheck below.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

Don't worry about the nand restore, as maui's guide has the option of downgrading to 4.1.(Nand restore not recommended if Bootmii installed as IOS)
So, follow maui's guide and use Letterbomb is what I'm trying to say.

I had never seen a system update, system check till this one... look at those nasty little stubs on the important ios... i wouldnt of thought HBC 1.0.8 would be in there though...
Problem with this place is the tutes are that damn good that one could end up not learning as deep as they should... Dont just rely on the tutorials understand your Wii...
