HBC Bootmii IOS won't boot suddenly, already been installed and used before.

I looked around trying to find a solution to my problem, but the answers I saw didn't seem to work for me so I decided to post this thread to get some personal input. Hopefully someone can help me out here.

So I'm trying to create a backup of my newest nand for use with Mighty Channel. I put the bootmii folder on the root of my fat32 SD card with the 3 files in it, turned on my wii, and went to HBC. I hit home button then selected the launch bootmii option on the menu but then it just sits at a black screen. I have to hard shut down my wii by holding the power button. Tried this multiple times with no luck. I then tried to boot it via Priiloader, but just sat on a white screen this time.

The strange thing is, it installed perfectly when I used Mauifrog's guide to mod my wii a week ago, and I used it to create a backup of my NAND with no problem. Why is it not working all of a sudden? Any suggestions or solutions? Is my system or the app corrupted?

I have tried using the configure bootmii app but everything seemed to be in order. Everything on my wii appears to be working just fine as well.

I'm on a 4.3u red wii with bootmii installed as an IOS.

Here is a system log, might help you diagnose my problem

    Spoiler

    I'd appreciate any help given.

    Thanks everyone.

You gotta have the /private folder on the SD card from mauifrog's guide. Do you?

I have a folder in the root of my SD called private with the contents:

    Private/loc.dat,loc.bak
    Private/title/NAFE/*EMPTY*

Do you have the BootMii folder with the ppcboot.elf boot.dol on the card?

No, I'm using the one right out of the modpack zip file

    Contents:
    bootmii.ini
    ppcboot.elf
    armboot.bin

Is there one with a boot.dol in it?

Go into the hackmii installer and select the prepare sd card option. It will ask if you want to over write the filrs on the sd card. Select yes and now try.

Ok, I'll give that a shot in a few hours, gotta take a power nap, been up too long trying to figure this out haha. Will report back with an outcome a little later today.

Thanks for the input the both of you.

I went and got my backup of my SD card right after I completed the Nand backup the first time (was at my other place), removed the old nands (to a safe spot of course, even though they are already backed up separately), and popped in the SD card and loaded the HBC bootmii. Worked .

    Thanks for all your help!

    Look at your syscheck

    System Menu 4.0/4.1U (v54449)
You need to use BannerBomb v1... You downgraded the system menu during the soft modding stage (This is the norm if you followed Mauifrogs Guide)

Yeah I realize that now that I actually got some sleep. haha. That and I don't have to do that stuff if I use the zip file that is made for people who already have softmod+HBC installed via Mauifrogs guide. :P
