Is there an alternative to Darkcorp to running games from disc?
= In my opinion darkcorps isn't needed as neogamma will run your backup discs and all you have to do is run a simple app instead of installing all of those horrible darkcorp ios.

if uninstalled surely my Wii would still be softmodded? already done a lot of steps in that guide.
= You should have done all of the steps not some. As seen as you have fiddled with the cios, I would redo the step of installing the cios pack to correct what you have changed at least.

I've already installed the latest IOS35 using NUS Downloader, shouldn't that fix the problem? The forwarder still doesn't work.

Does uninstalling Darkcorp revert the IOS' back to their old state (that could be the dumbest sentence I've ever typed on a forum, but I need to be sure)? In other words - do I need to redownload these IOS' or not?

I didn't follow that guide, I used a guide by a bloke called Chris Lowthian on his blog, a dummies guide that actually made sense for a total n00b. I see the first two parts of Mauifrog's guide I've definitely done, the others not so sure.

You speak of fiddling with the cIOS, what do you mean? Darkcorp installed cIOS 249 rev 17 but I updated that to rev 19 which is supposed to be good, right? Or do you mean - if I uninstall Darkcorp, redo the installation for cIOS 249 rev 19?

I know these are probably dumb questions but I appreciate the help.

Which forwarder are you trying to fix again? First you said wiiflow, then you say its only the GX forwarder that reboots....

Regardless, you should uninstall darkcorp and use the Softmod ANY Wii guide from the beginning.

Put the quote from me in context and it makes sense. narse1979 said:

    So I replied:

Ok keep it simple because people are getting confused.

Mauifrogs guide is one of the best around in my opinion.
I would follow it because at least we know the guide works.
Any old cios/s etc will be over written.

You guys were wrong about having to follow the softmod guide again...

...but right about uninstalling Darkcorp, the Wiiflow forwarder works perfectly now!

narse1979, cjizzle: thank you thank you thank you

We say to follow that guide because it oozes awsomeness. It gets you set up in the correct way but if you have got your problem sorted then good. Did you install the cios pack from the guide? If not I still would and make sure you have priiloader with online and disc update blocked enabled.

Okay, I have downloaded CIOS-PACK-v4 but already have HBC and Priiloader set up like you say. Is it simply a case of installing the wad folder with MMM?

Yes navigate to the wad folder in mmm and do a batch install.

Well, I went to do that but I used the MMM folder from the cIOS pack. It was a BootMii MMM which I've never used before but I thought well, I have installed BootMii so I'll use this. It went to a black screen with white writing saying it was launching BootMii then the blue light around the disc drive started flashing. Realising nothing was going to happen, I rebooted the Wii and tried to use the MMM I used before. When I tried to install all WADs, each one gave me an error, saying "ticket error -2011".

Now when I try to install any WAD with MMM this happens, but it works with WAD Manager 1.7 (although this will only work from SD card now and refuses to recognise my hard drive).

Have I messed things up running the BootMii MMM and is the answer "follow the softmod guide from the beginning"?

    Thanks
