USB Loaders on a Wii 4.3E

    Hi guys.

I've done a search of here but I can't find a similar problem.

Now I softmodded my 4.3E a few months ago and I use USB Loader GX, Cfg USB Loader and WiiFlow with all 3 channels on the Wii menu they all worked. I did my friends shortly afterwards no problem and all his worked. I've been asking another friend of mine who comes to visit once a month if she would like her Wii softmodding bring it with her the next time she comes up. Last weekend she came up with her Wii 4.3E, HBC installed no problem and I backed up the NAND but I couldn't get any USB Loader to work.

I made a list of all wads that I installed on mine and mine works perfectly. I used the same SD card on my other friends and his works perfectly. Now I know you need cIOS249 installing for USB Loaders to work so I installed the 24 wads I used on mine with Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 but a few of them fail the main one being cIOS249. I tried to install the wads 3 or 4 times but they wouldn't install. I downloaded the wads again just incase they got corrupted but still no joy.

The other thing is I can't get PriiLoader 0.7 to install. Its on the SD card and if I run it says IOS 58 rev 6176 at the top which I've installed then it goes through the file varification ok. Then password file not found and settings file deleted. Priiloader doesn't show up when I press the reset button as it does on mine so obviously it hasn't installed. The hacks.ini is in the SD root and hacks_hash.ini is in the Preloader folder.

Anyone have any suggestions how to get USB Loader GX or the other two USB Loaders?

    Cheers.

I Googled and read various guides on softmodding and watched plenty of videos on YouTube.

    Softmod ANY Wii

    EZ Wii Hacking

Wii 4.2E softmod tutorial. Easy to follow guide

Modding wasn't a problem on any machine. It took me a while to sort out the apps and which wads were needed for the USB Loaders on mine. I used the same apps and wads on my SD card on my second softmod and they worked. Its the third one that won't install the wads. I was thinking whats the difference between the first two and the one last weekend? The last one didn't have a web connection so I setup my router and the connection worked but the wads still wouldn't install.

The site I use the most gives good help for loads of Wii problems but none of there suggestions helped my problem.

USB Loaders on a friends Wii 4.3E

The guide on here was started 12 months ago and it has over 1000 pages so sorry I haven't got time to read through everyone, plus its a softmod guide not a USB Loader guide.

    Softmod ANY Wii

You only find places that give good help when you need it?

Yes 1000 pages but only one first page, where all the required info is. The other pages are filled with peeps requesting help with something in that guide, of which you are welcome to do as well.

If you would attempt to search this site you will find guides for the USB Loaders as well. CFG, GX, WiiFlow, guides for each are all here. (And recently updated)

Edit: Yeah I just checked out the site you shouldn't have posted a link to and I notice that it's USB loading guide hasn't been updated since 2009. I can see why you are having issues.

I have search for USB Loader GX but like most site they don't search for 3 characters or less so it only shows Loader in the search and there are alot of them. Can you please give me a link that only talks about installing USB Loader GX only?

Ok I've found the thread on this site not through searching this site but Googling USB Loader GX 2.2 installer guide

Preparing and Installing USB Loader GX

I will have a read through and see if I missed anything.

Daft site you can't edit your last post you have to make a new one.

Ok I did a sysCheck on my friends Wii and mine a while ago and I had a look to see what the differences were?

    My friends 4.3E

    Spoiler

    My 4.3E

    Spoiler

    The only difference is

    IOS3 (rev 65280): Stub
IOS236[36] (rev 65535): Trucha Bug ES Identify NAND Access
IOS249[57] (rev 20): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 65535): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

Now I couldn't get IOS236 to install from its seperate installer.

I thought you shouldn't install any IOS below 200 and I've never installed IOS3.

    As I said before I couldn't get cIOS249 ot IOS249 to install.

I wonder what Found 106 titles and 134 titles means?

    Any thoughts on these sysChecks?

    You don't need IOS3.

The titles found # is simply the number of channels, games, IOS, cios etc that has been "installed" on your wii.

What guide are you using to install priiloader? It should be this one.

Looks like your friends wii got updated thru the big N, so all cIOS got stubbed out. As far as 236, are you using this guide? After you get that to install, I would recommend using this guide and use the "Install all Recommended cIOS Pack".

I think I just gave the biggest spoonfeeding I ever have before....lol

OR You could just use the ANY Wii guide to get everything installed in one shot. Everything you are asking for is in there (minus usb loader GX). Also, don't simply look at when the Guide was made to determine if it is recent. Look at the bottom of the guide to see when it was last updated, in this case it was 8/11/11.
