Exclamation Requesting Help with Restoring Wii

I have a 4.2U soft-modded Wii. It has HBC, BootMii, NeoGamma, WiiLoad, AnyTitleDeleter, Backup Launcher, CIOS Installer, DVD Dumper, Multi Mod Manager, Uloader, Homebrew Browser and unfortunately Darkcorp 1.1 installed. Now, my problem is restoring to a factory default, without bricking anything. I followed the 4.2 guide on this forum, and soft-modded successfully using the banner bomb exploit. And now I have to restore, because I am giving my Wii to a sibling, that is prone to updating it, and bricking it. Would it be OK if I uninstalled Darkcorp, then used anytitledeleter, and removed everything. Then used the Wii Fromat in the settings menu to restore to factory default, or would I brick the Wii along the way? Please it would be greatly appreciated if I could get a quick reply! I don't want to have to get chewed out for the Family Wii not working, because of the incompetence of a sibling.

I have had the Wii since the first month they launched. So Downgrading probably won't be an issue.

Edit* Actually, could I just uninstall Darkcorp, and do a update to 4.3?

I looked in my SD card, and found a NAND file, so I do believe I backed it up. I don't know how to restore using it though.

Do you happen to have your nand backup from before you modded stored somewhere?

Hey steffono you don't have to edit your first post in order to answer a question. Appreciate the thought though! Check out step 4 from this guide.

If that is not possible, then look here.

I beleive that is the NAND.bin I have. I only did a NAND backup once, and that is when I was following the directions for the 4.2 softmod. So...I guess that is the origianl NAND.

You know if you have priiloader with block online and block disc updates enabled in hacks, your sibling won't be able to update even if he or she tried. Then he or she could enjoy the wii softmodded as you had. Just a thought.

Trust me, my sister is pretty dumb. She can completely screw up anything. And, because she wants to install netflix on the Wii, that brings upon a another problem. I could get a channel file, and install it. But I know something will go wrong. I just don't trust a hacked console with her. She already messed up the ipod I jailbroke for her.

I understand what you mean, but if you update your shop channel, and like I said install priiloader with those hacks enabled, she won't be able to mess anything up. Also since you have a launch day wii, I assume you have bootmii installed as boot2, you can restore from a full brick with a couple clicks.

OK, I will give it a try tomorrow. I guess it isn't worth the tougher task of unhacking a Wii, then it is easier to idiot proofing it! Thanks for the help!It is very much appreciated!
