Problems formatting the Hard Drive

Hey guys, I kinda need help with something, here's the deal:
Yesterday I softmoded a 4.3e Wii using the Mauifrog Guide, everything went smoothly. I had a previously WBFS Formatted HDD that worked on the newly softmoded Wii.
Now I need to format another HDD to work the same way.
The ideal way would be formating it as a WBFS drive, but, for some reason, WBFS Manager 3.0 won't format it... I've also tried using the versions 2.2 and 2.5, but nothing worked. I tried it with the HDD previously formated as NTSF and FAT32.

Problem is, when I try to start a game (only tried one), everything freezes...

I'm getting desperate, so any tip would be awesome...

You could try wii backup manager to format it to wbfs, or just use fat32 for the hdd. There is no need for wbfs partitions now that fat32 and ntfs are supported.

I also tried formatting to WBFS using that one... It says it's formatted, but then I can't open it with WBFS Manager... Does the sector size have something to do with it?

Edit: I've tried using it formatted both as FAT32 and NTSF, putting a game on it (inside the hd:/wbfs folder with wii backup manager) and when I start the game on my Wii, everything freezes, that's why I wanted to format as WBFS...

When the drive was formatted to fat32 was the partition acive and primary?

The HDD is a Iomega Prestige 500GB, so I think it's on the list (I checked before).
And yes, when it was formatted to FAT32, the partition was both active and was primary. :s

Sorry for the double post, but I think I figured something out:
I formatted my HDD to FAT32, put 3 games there with Wii Backup Manager and connected to the Wii. It recognized the disc and the 3 games.
When trying to start them with cIOS 250, everything froze. When trying with cIOS 249, it says that I need to update it (to at least cIOS 249 rev 18) so I can play backups from a FAT formated HDD. Problem is, I don't find this version so I can update it... Anyone can help with this? :s

EDIT: You should probably put d2x v6 base 56 in 249 and 57 in 250.

I don't get it... Are those cIOS new or something?... I mean, if I install those, they'll overwrite the ones I have, right?... I'm asking this because I don't know much about cIOS, and I only wanted to update the 249 one... :s
(And that's because I don't want my WBFS formated HDD to stop working as a WBFS HDD...)

Not a problem bud. Yes it will overwrite what you have, but it will not cause you any harm at all. They are compatible with WBFS so no worries there.

The only reason I suggested the 57 base in 250 was because of the huge improvements made regarding ios reload games and usb issues. Combined between 249 56 and 250 57 I have had zero issues running every game that I have. Of course, its entirely up to you what you want to do! :)
