    Help with soft modding

I looked around this forum and tried reading some FAQs, but I couldn't really find the answer I was looking for, so excuse me if this question has been asked before.

I am not good and computer things, but I am trying to mod my US wii to play the PAL version of Xenoblade. I have been using this guide (NO EXTERNAL LINKS ALLOWED) and it was going great until I got to the part where I had to install the Configurable USB Loader. I followed the instructions and nothing is showing up on the homebrew thing when I pop the SD card in. The instructions on that page are a little confusing to me and maybe I'm not doing it right. If someone could help me or point in an easier direction I would be eternally grateful.

You want to make sure there is a folder like this: X:\apps\USBLoader

But to make it simpler: go into the zip archive you downloaded; after extracting the contents, go into folder "inSDroot" and drop the contents ('apps' 'usb-loader') into the root of your SD card.

    See it that helps.

(Just got my copy in the mail today, it's a great buy for the Wii.)

Haha, it worked! I was doing the right thing but in the wrong way. But now a new problem arises. The guide tells me to select partition as FAT32, but I don't see that option any where. I see a FAT1 but I can't change it or anything.

If you follow the softmod any wii guide it will overwrite anything you have done to your wii with that fail guide.

edit- Try setting up your drive with this fat32 loading guide.

If you would have posted an introduction thread in the correct section, you would have received a welcome with these guides and more useful info.

Sorry, I thought that this forum would have been a better place for my question. D:

I somehow got the game working, though. It's pretty awesome.

Glad to see you got it working. If I were you I would still do the softmod any wii guide to avoid any problems in the future. With bootmii and priiloader installed on your Wii you will have brick protection. Also priiloader will make games region free and block disc and online updates.
