    Utilizing NeoGamma and Understanding

    Hello all

Let me start by thanking those who take the time to read this, I'll try to make this short.

I've acquired a Wii some months ago, followed one of the guides around here for softmodding and it's good to go.
But time has passed and I'm sure the whole cIOS subject and what not has changed/evolved.
And heavens forbid me.. But I've read so much in so many places that I've grown confused and just don't understand nearly anything.

As by the title, I use NeoGamma for disc loading, it's the only way I can play Wii Games.

But I've manifested an interest in updating these "cIOS's" so I can make later games work, etc...

I've kept my eye on this thread: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-guides-tutorials/88654-d2x-cios-installation-guide.html

    I
s this the one I should use? Or is there something else?

    Thank you for your time.

P.S. I also would like to load WiiWare and VC games, how do I manage around that?

Thinking about hacking a wii? Start here! [A basic introduction to Wii hacking]
That is a good place to start. If you have followed mauifrogs guide then you are up to date on cios. If not, there is a section in the guide to update your softmod. The link is in my signature.

    Thank you.
I did follow that one, but it was some time ago, and he recently updated that thread.. (I believe).
But I haven't had any problems with my backups as of late (except for burning speed and in-game stuttering) but that's feasible when to protect my original games (I'm very perfeccionist when it comes to scratches).
