    SSBB Disc Not Working

Greetings, my Super Smash Bros Brawl disc is non-functioning to the point of frustration. I borrowed my friend's and his also didn't work on my system. I've concluded that it's my system and not the game.
The odd thing is all my other discs work, and SSBB works if loaded from a USB Loader. I; however, would like to play with a disc.
    May anyone help me out?

You must be missing the IOS the game needs to play. It will work from usb, because that wiil use cios. Will it work from NeoGamma?

In the softmod any wii guide there is a ios update pack. That should get all you IOS up to date.

No sir, NeoGamma will not load it, but I have an HBC app that acts as a disc channel that can read it, but I would like to be able to use Gecko to load it in order to use Codes.
Thank you, I've used the softmod any wii guide for version 4.1U last year and everything worked fine. I will try updating IOS

Edit: I updated my IOS and it's still a no go. Perhaps both discs are faulty? I can get another friend's copy tomorrow if necessary.

It could be that your laser is starting to fail. SSBB is a dual layer disc, most others are not. Maybe try another dual layer one and see if you get the same result. I cant think of any others but when I do I will edit in a suggestion.

I never thought of that, but I'll accept any possibility. Does the laser start to just fail in time?

I believe so. Running backup will make it fail sooner because they read slower. Usb loading is really the best way to preserve your wii and the games.

Yeah I understand that much. I have a hard drive that contains my game library, including SSBB, but I am trying to load Brawl+ which, as far as I know, needs a disc. Also, I'm not sure if it's the laser, for when the game is placed in the disc slot, the wii only clicks three times. The disc never even starts to spin. Therefore, if I'm not mistaken, the laser never even gets to start reading the disc.
