Hi Guys. I have a terribly big need of your help. My wii is producing black screen after numerous tries of installing softmod based on Maui's guide. Let me explain the whole story.
I have a Wii 4.3E. Additionally i have a WD 1TB HDD that is claimed to be compatible for softmod usbloading.
1. I used a softmod guide based on Maui's guide on a Hungarian Wii webpage. It was a bit outdated so usbloader were not working properly.
2. Then i found the Wiihacks page and Maui's guide . I did the softmod based on that, so i went down to 4.1E --> SUCCESS! I used CFG Usbloader v70 and 224-mload cios was loading most of the games. The HDD was formatted to WBFS at this time.
3. On the next day, i loaded other games on my HDD. Then suddenly NOTHING was working, all the games produced a black screen after starting from the loader, i tried all the cIOSs from 222-224 and 247-250.
4. In the chat some senior members advised me that i should have FAT or NTFS on my HDD. I did the reformatting, still nothing was working. I redid Mauis guide from Chapter 2 several times, it did not help, and also did some other cIOS wad but nothing helped.
5. After several day of crazy searching on the site, i though i would do one more change. This was based on Skellinator's sysinfo signature. I installed 224 (37) v5 from this link. SUCCESS! All the games started to work again that i tried.
6. The next day, I started a game, it was working, then i wanted to run MK: Armageddon, it produced a black screen. I was not worried as i heard it's a problematic game. So i switched again back to the game i was playing some minutes before: FAILURE. Again it produced a black screen. I felt pathetic, since i did not do any update, change, whatever, and still again NOTHING was working.
7. From that time, i again did Maui's guide several times and trying all the things i found on the Wiihacks page, but nothing helped.
Based on the above things, for me it's clear that the HDD is compatible as games were working, so what i can only think about is that either the cIOSes are not good or rather maybe an IOS base for a cIOS is not updated properly, hence the cIOS is malfunctioning. I desperately need your help, i'm posting my latest syscheck, hoping somebody can see an issue there. Thanks very much in advance!
