Angry Wii Disk Drive Won't Spin

It started a few months ago. I let my relative play a burned Sims 3, and it slowly started to stop working. Then it wouldn't read any disks at all. I stopped playing it for a few months. When I started to play it again, it loaded a burned Goldeneye for a little bit, then I got a disk read error. I decided to disassemble it, and I cleaned out the lens. After I cleaned it out, I put Brawl in. It worked up to the menu, then I got the disk read error. Now when I put a disk, it doesn't even spin. Can somebody please help!

    It is softmodded.

Brawl is a dual layer game so its harder for the drive to read. The drive should read the originals easier so if they don't work its probably time for a new drive or usb loading

No matter what disk I put in, it won't spin.

On USB loading, what kind should I get?

If I were to replace the the drive, would it still be able to play backup games, or would I need to install that stuff over again?

U would have to make sure that u got a drive capable of doing so, but yes effectively you would be able to without having to install anything over again

Hi Bud had a failed to spin wii in the past. Got a new drive motor off ebay brand new for around 8.00 . I knew it was only the motor as my friends kid had tried to load two discs which jammed it and wrecked the drive motor, Then there's always cfg HDD,
