    Neogamma

    Hello all,
I recently started attempting to play some of my GC backups on my softmodded Wii. I followed the tutorial here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...-your-wii.html

After following the guide I am getting the following error: 03023a00. I attempted to search this error and came up with a lot of foreign sites and I also noticed in the Neogamma readme that this error can be attributed to a large number of factors. I used the only discs I had on hand (Memorex DVD+R) which I know aren't optimal for this. I have no problem buying DVD-Rs if they work but i don't really want to waste my money.

Is it possible that this error is caused by the disc not being a DVD-R or is that completely unrelated and even a DVD-R wouldn't work?

    Thanks for the advice.

Can your drive read backup disc's?
    And DVD-R's aren't that expensive!
Buy some and give it a go!

The only backups I have to try are 2 that I made on DVD+Rs so I'm not too sure of whether or not it is capable of reading backups. I was hoping that the error code might shed some light on whether or not trying DVD-Rs was even worth it or if a disc problem would normally give a different error code. I can say that I bought this Wii in December 2010 so it is relatively new which I have read affects backup disc compatibility.

Yes so much that the wii will not read backup discs full stop.
