    Snes9xgx issue

Hi everyone. I feel like I must be missing something very obvious here but after searching online and playing around with it myself I'm still at a loss. I have a soft modded wii with the HBC installed, of course. I installed the snes9xgx channel through the HBC. I made sure I was running IOS58. It installed successfully. However, I'm at a complete loss as to how to load roms. With the channel installed, every time I GO to the channel it simply tells me it is already installed and do I want to uninstall?

What am I missing here? I downloaded the snex9xgx installer. Do I need to replace files with something else after installing it? Any help would be much appreciated. I'm very eager to play some SNES homebrew!

Sorry guys, I realized after I posted that it was in the wrong section. Thanks for moving the thread.

Yes, I have read and followed that tutorial. I still have the same issue however.

I'm not quite sure what channel? Is it a forwarded channel on the system menu page, a full channel on the system menu page, or the icon in the homebrew channel?

It's in the system menu but I'm honestly not sure if it's a full channel or a forwarded channel. How can I tell?

The difference is that a full wad channel installs the application directly to the internal NAND memory on your Wii, whereas a forwarder installs a much smaller package which points to the application on your sd card. Where did u get the channel from? What was the name of the file? You can look in the wii settings under data management/channels and see how big the channel is.

I downloaded it from the wii wikibrew page. I wasn't sure which I needed so I downloaded both the channel installer and the snes9xgx zip. I'm going to try deleting the channel and redownloading all the files to see if maybe there was a simple error when I downloaded originally (since that's what happened with my USB Loader issue).

If you downloaded it from there, it is a forwarder. The readme says
    * This channel tries load apps/snes9xgx/boot.dol from SD or USB. You must have
Snes9x GX installed in one of these locations.
