wiimc won't load
today i tried to run wiimc. the app loaded than my wii rebooted. i installed the newest version of wiimc and the problem happened again. i uninstalled wiimc from hombrew and reinstalled wiimc and the wii rebooted once again after loading wiimc.
i also tried loading wiimc from another working sd card that has HB on it and wiimc crashed again.
i tried to reinstall cios 58 (i'm on HB 1008) and the installation failed at approximately 96%
can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to fix wiimc
could have installing cios 222 have anything to do with this issue?

If you tried to install IOS58 and it failed, then reinstall it, if it fails again then download you another IOS58 wad with NUS Downloader, perhaps you have a corrupted IOS58. Once you do get it to install then check the HBC just to make sure it's using IOS58 to run.
do i have to reinstall hombrew after getting a new ios58?
i downloaded the new ios58 from nus downloader and installed the wad using slot 36. ios36 installed successfully. HB is using ios 58, but wiimc is still crashing after loading.

I forgot to say, once you check HBC, if it doesn't display IOS58 as the IOS that it is using, then reinstall HBC 1.0.8, but only after you get IOS58 to install correctly.
maybe this information can help
my homebrew is 1.0.8 ios58 v24.32
in the past 2 weeks i've tried installing mighty channels. installed cios241-v21d2xbeta5, cios240-v21d2xbeta5, hermes version 4, ios 236. i also made the mistake of saying yes i wanted to install extra files to play pirated games when installing ios 236 and the installer deleted a couple files. i've also deleted Mighty Channels using HB and deleted the MC file structure on my sd card
OK, your HBC is using IOS58, but did you get a good install of it (IOS58)? There is also an IOS58 installer, have you tried that?
Remove any previous installs of WiiMC, and do a fresh install of WiiMC (all of the files and folders).
Now, try to running WiiMC from HBC.
What's up with that IOS236 installer, a cIOS installer asking if you are a pirate, what will they think of next?
it was the 58 installer that would bug up at near completion of installation. the wad installation worked fine. i tried deleting wiimc and after installing the app again and i had the same problem. i've now downgraded to wiimc 1.1.1 and the app is running smoothly.
i'm just happy 1.1.1 has the good radio search for me to listen to wfmu. now if only i can disable the popup to upgrade to the newest release.
as for the pirate option i thought the programer had a good sense of humor.
