    Black Screen of DOOM

    Hi everybody
Ive had WiiFlow on my system for some time now but the other day my son put FIFA11 in the CD Drive and clicked update in the game channel. FIFA11 works fine from disk but when i select WiiFlow channel I get the black screen and nothing happens unless i reset it. I dont even see any games which are installed onto my HDD. I know other systems have had problems with updating but ive always found the Wii to work. Im due away with my job in a few weeks and would love to get this Wii sorted for the kids before i go.
Any information would be mega helpfull

    Cheers

Excepting the update has stubbed your cios so your loader won't work. Does HB still work or does that black screen to? Has your sm version changed?

    Hi Narse

Thanks for the speedy reply. Home brew still loads but i can seem to load the emulators that are on there and i cant find the ROMS either for each emulator. Its as though the USB HDD isnt reading.
How do i check the SM version?

    Thanks again

Go to the settings icon in the bottom left of the system menu then the settings, its in the top right corner. Whatever it is go and look at the softmod any wii guide (link in my sig below) and do the appropriate softmod

yes that will be the update the game had on it, just follow the 4.2 part of the guide. If u follow the whole guide through u will install priiloader which will block any future updates

do i need to block these future updates. How do you get around needing to update to play new games?

Yes, all updates will wipe out your softmod. U can either stay in contact with this site (which will help keep u up to date) or u come back when u have a specific problem an search for the answer.
