Discs suddenly will not play anymore =(
I've had this problem for about a month now.
I've been going crazy on lots of guides and threads... this is my last option :/
I softmodded my wii a while ago and have been playing burned backup discs for about 2 years with minimal problems. (and I've never ever updated from nintendo or discs)
Now all of a sudden none of my games work! e_e
1. I had no errors during installation and my new shop channel works great and everything..
I also installed the new NeoGamma (9)
So, the problem: I can run NeoGamma, BackupLauncher, ULoader... but
when I try to load the game, I get disc errors. I usually get error
1208, which is a disc read error... but I've played these same discs many times before! :(
2. SO, I went to the
list of IOS's games use, installed IOS55-64-5663.wad
(downloaded from NUS) using MultiModManager so that I can run "Need for speed undercover" which I already have.
Quick question about installing with MMM: Did I have to install that using WadManager (because you can select the slot?)? Anyway, so I tried to run NeedForSpeed and I got
error 1189 "inquiry"... which isn't even on the error index..
SO, I thought to try something else:
3. I did a sysCheck to see which IOS's I have installed already.
Here are my results:
sysCheck Results

So I see that I have 3 stubs:

IOS10 (rev 768): Stub
IOS4 (rev 65280): Stub
---->From this post, I think I may not need to remove them... or do I? :/
----> Another observation from sysCheck: almost all say "NAND Access".. is that ok? :/
---->So, should I just download the newest IOS's using NUS, and install them with MMM? Would that help? I can't figure out the problem...
---->Currently when I run Neogamma it says it's running using IOS249 (rev 21003).. should I try to force it to be cIOS249 [57] Rev 19 or 20? Or does 21003 include 19 & 20?...
---->Also I'm running out of space on my wii! Could that be a reason why it stopped reading my burned backups??
So, main question:
Why won't my Wii play burned backup games anymore? :(
Sorry guys I'm really confused O.O
and sad =(
Please help!
Thanks a lot in advance!!!!!
UPDATE: Problem Solved
Solution = replacing my laser
I ended up buying a new wii laser part from amazon for $10: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_os_product
Then I went to SDMods in San Diego and had them install the new laser for $20: http://www.sdmods.com/
Now my wii works like new!
THANKS EVERYONE for helping me out so much!
I had no idea what was wrong >.<
Thanks again!!!
