USB gamepad on wii

I am quite new, so please don't get mad if I put this in the wrong place, just have someone move it.

I just got a Wii, and I was wondering if it would be possible to make a hack to allow usage of my USB Logitech gamepad and having the Wii find it as a Classic Controller(or Pro, if there is a difference). Or maybe there is a cord/jack that converts the port on the bottom of the Wiimote to USB, allowing the use of the USB gamepad. I've searched on Google and with this forum's search, but I can't find it. I don't know much about hacking and I've never done any of it on anything, so please give a simple walkthrough or point to one. Thanks in advance.

Answer: Nope not possible. Walkthrough: Go outside, get in your car, drive to your local gaming store, and buy a classic controller. :D

USB devices aren't anything like wiimote extension port devices. So there can't be a converter from USB to that (at least, not without a chip emulating a real wiimote device there... but it would be cheaper to buy a classic controller if those would exist, which they don't)

Also, no games make use of the USB port for input (exception being music games that require a microphone but that's not a gamepad)

Even if you make a homebrew program to read the USB for input, you would need drivers on the wii for the gamepad. Another impossible thing (well, it might be possible but why bother if classic controllers exist)

I concur. I was just asking for clarification.

Ok then. I was just wondering if there would be a way. It does have 2 USB ports, so that's why I'm asking.

There is no possible way as stated above. Go to Gamestop or Wal-Mart and buy a Wii Classic Controller. Gamestop has them for $14.99 used.
