    Is this a semi brick?

Been out the loop a while, I have a really old Wii with the WiiKey 1 modchip.
I'm on firmware 4.1E so decided to go for the softmod route as my little girl wanted to play Epic Mickey.

I followed Mauifrogs guide to the letter, I did everything on there and all seemed to go ok.
I have a copy of Epic Mickey on disc which I thought I'd try and run through the "backup disc channel".
I did this and it gave me a disc read error, I then recall pressing a button and got a menu and somehow I managed to click on something saying "reboot with hooks"

It appeared this got accepted and now whenever I try and boot through this channel my controller is powered off and the Wii freezes at a black screen!
I can't find anyway to change that setting or get back to the original menu in the backup disc channel.

The only way to get the Wii going again is to do a hard reset. I also can't boot Epic Mickey through the Normal Disc Channel which I found odd?

I tried to go back to the BootMii but when I select that through the Homebrew channel, again my controller is powered off and the Wii flashes with a blue light. Again have to do a hard reset.

Priiloader is still there, I can get into that but as Mauifrog recommended I disabled the disc updates but Epic Mickey wants me to update when I go through the Normal Disc Channel.
I have checked the settings and these are saved.

So I'm unsure what to do, I tried a couple of old games through the normal disc channel and Metroid Prime loads, but if I put it through the Backup Disc Channel black screen and powered off controller.

I really need to reset the menu or find a step by step guide to reseting the Backup Disc Channel but I've trawled this tutorials but I really don't know what I'm looking for.

Should I try and install the NeoGama channel? Again no idea how to do this?

I would welcome any help, you would make a little girl very happy.

The best way to load games is usb loading.yes install neogamma and it should read every disc. No its not semi-brick if you can see which system menu are you.

I am pretty sure the backup disc channel is neogamma. There should be some sort of configuration folder on your sd card or usb drive (whichever you use for your apps). If you delete it then the next time you run the app it will create a new one with all default settings. I am not sure on the file structure for that one, but there should be a config file for it.

ok how do I see what system menu I'm on?
What I can't understand is why it seems to run fine on the backup channel but why it no longer works?

Even games that will work on my normal disc channel don't work on the backup.
Would really like to reset this so I can get the Neogamma backup channels working again, but I see no way to do this as soon as I click load game it freezes and powers off controller ?

Not using USB just yet, I do have an SD card in there but no idea what the config file is called?
I only put the "App pack" on as directed buy MauiFrog the only thing I can see on my SD card is a file called hacks_hash.ini is this the config folder? Should I delete that?

The hack.ini is for priiloader and nothing to do with it. You are looking for the neogamma config file.

Go into your wii settings and it will show you your system menu in the top right of the screen.

I think that is a full channel install of neogamma in Maui's guide. You can reinstall the neogamma wad from the mod pack. Only try that if you cant find a config file of a settings option on Neogamma before you click on the disc to load it.

    ok thanks mate.

I'll be honest I don't have a file like that on my sd card.
So I understand I have to reinstall the channel?

This is where I'm really out of my depth, I followed the Mauifrogs guide before but I honestly have no idea how I first remove the channel and then how I put it back on without causing more damage

Quick update I can see I am on 4.1e on my wii setting page.
