rev17 is the most stable release out at the moment. You can use the later versions if you'd like, but that "softmod any wii" guide is the way to go. So whatever it installs, is your best choice. If the game doesn't want to load with 249, you could change the setting within the loader to use 223, 224, 248, or 250. Whatever one works, keep that one and make sure to save the setting within the loader. CFG loader seems to be a favorite around here and seems to play all games with no issues. Good Luck!

This is what the mod any wii guide installs - Notice 247,248,250 all have rev 21 with different base ios'
Which can all be selected in cfg loader to play different games that may not work with the main loading dol.

    Spoiler

I installed the Waninkoko cIOSXXX rev 17 but still have a stubbed 249. Is there any way to change the slot it gets installed in without using showmmiwads? (I have a mac). Thanks again

im afraid apps like that are sparse for the mac. Bootcamp it maybe and run windows on the mac.

What cios are you choosing to install with in wad manager when installing the new cios?

Okay, I fixed 249 by installing waninkokos cIOS38rev17 from here:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...installer.html
However, I can't get the priiloader to find the hash.ini file (it gives me the can't find hash.ini in NAND error) and cfg usbloader won't load, it just boots me out to system menu. Any ideas?
I really appreciate your time, thank you.

My system now looks like this:

Okay, I reinstalled cfgusb and it is now working fine. My only issue left is getting priiloader to recognize the hack.ini. Still getting the NAND error...
Oh, and I still can't play the FIFA game!

You have to change the dol to play Fifi 08 so maybe you have to do the same with 10.

ref to Kranks Problematic Guide Thread

How To Load: Go into your loaders settings and choose "alt.dol from disk" Then choose the appropriate .dol (from the list below) and save it. Done.
    FIFA 08
Use main.dol (also try "block IOS reload").
Or try playing with cios 222,223,224,247,248 or 250 Change these in the usb loaders settings as well.

If none of that works then try re ripping the game to your hdd.

Also look at this guide for priiloader http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...ates-more.html

Thanks again. Any idea why i get an error message that says "Couldn't find any hacks for system menu version: v54449" when I try to load my hacks from priiloader? I downloaded the 4.1 hacks. I searched all over the forums but haven't found anything helpful.

You should have a hacks.ini file included in the mod pack. That file needs to be on the root of the sd card.

I reloaded the modpack but cant seem to find the hacks file anywhere? I just have a bootmii folder and a wad folder in it with a boot.dol and an .elf file.

It was in the cios pack of all places. Here you go put this on the root of the sd and try again http://safelinking.net/d/5527c0182e
