I'm getting to the end of my rope. I have my Wii softmodded using mauifrogs guide. I am sitting here with a NTFS hard-drive that I can't get my backups to play on. What do I do??? It is a compatible external hard drive, and I have configurable USB loader on my Wii. I just need to know in the simplest form how I can play my backups on it!!

Run a syscheck, and then post it here. There is a guide on it, it may be in my signature, if not click on the useful links and if it there.
Well I know if you did the softmod right you might have to go in an change the settings of the USB loader like I had to! Also if you followed Mauifrogs guide you should be able to go into the root of your SD card an see usb-loader folder click it an then look for CfgLoaderConfigurator it's an application for windows you have to use it to change the settings of the loader.
ok, so I put my SD card into my pc and have opened the CfgLoaderConfigurator.... what do I have to change from here??
I ran the system check but when I put the SD card back into the pc, there is nothing there. It will come up on the Wii, but not when I copy the file to my pc.

Yup... that is on my SD card.
Is your drive fully formatted to NTFS, or is it partitioned?
If it's partitioned, is the partition you have your games on
set to primary and active?
Also, have you considered formatting your drive to fat32?

My hard drive is fully formatted to NTFS.... I had a hard drive that was FAT32 and it wouldn't work, so I went a bought another hard drive. I would like to keep it NTFS because it will hold a bigger file size. I was given a link about a month ago to formatting a hard drive for NTFS and I can not get the link anymore, don't know what happened to it, but it's not there anymore.
Don't the cIOS you are using have to be above rev19 for Wanin's or v5 for Hermes' to use an NTFS drive? If the user has lower revs like Maui's guide leaves you with (like 249 rev 17) wouldn't that screw things up for NTFS?
