    NTSC on a PAL Machine

I have a soft modded PAL 4.3E Wii. Everything is working very well and I have been able to backup my collection to HDD.

I did install priiloader as it was part of the instructions I followed but haven't done anything with it.

I was wondering whether I have to make sure that I only run PAL software. For example, if I ran an NTSC game would it cause problems - I haven't tried yet and don't even have the need - I'm just wondering whether it would be safe if the situation arose?

    Many thanks,

    Nigel

As long as you scrub the update partition out and have PriiLoader blocking disc updates so don't accidentally take an out of region update. You can force video through your loader.

I have Priiloader 0.6, though I notice that 0.7 has been released recently. I have installed it but I haven't configured it yet - guess I should do that tomorrow anyway.

I understand I hold RESET down whilst powering on to get to the priiloader options.

My Wii is connected to an HD screen using component. The screen can handle PAL and NTSC so would I still need to force to PAL?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Probably not. I have a similar set up and I don't have to force video if I play a PAL game on my US Wii.

And yes on the reset button to get into PriiLoader.
