    Will Nintendo Detect My Softmod?

I had a 4.2 Wii then I formatted it and updated it to 4.3
I sent my Wii for repair, so will they try and look for softmods or just browse through the channels? I saw a few guides on how to and all I did was format and update. Sos if this is in the wrong section.

edit- oops. Misread your thread. They might find it, but the cost of repair they charge for modded wiis is usually the same price as a new wii

    They'll send it back saying
"We detected unauthorized modifications done to this console. Thus, the warranty is voided."
    Or something along those lines

I never cheat, especially online cos it ruins the game for me and the whole community. I updated my wii and it didnt get bricked or anything so how will they find out about my hacks?

Hopefully you get lucky and they don't bother to check or something. But from what I have read, they will know if they look for evidence. You can get a Wii for like $75-$100 or less if you wait on a good ebay or craigslist deal....and even a DVD drive for like $60 (if I'm not mistaken). But if the Wii was still under warranty, then I guess I would try and have them fix it on their dime first. Good luck, and hope they repair it quickly and don't run any tests or whatever they do when they get returns. Let us know what happens, I'm curious!
