    Recurring Exception (DSI) on CFG

I've got a softmodded black Wii, started out as system 4.3, now 4.1 somehow. I'm using CFG with a NTFS format Western Digital Green hard drive. Most of the time it works fine, but I keep getting this annoying black screen with the 60 second pause before rebooting. The first time I try to start a new game from CFG it usually gets a black screen, and then it will work fine next time. Occasionally a game that's been played many times before will get the black screen when starting, then work fine the next time.

CFG is the only USB loader I've been able to get working. Sometimes I need to power cycle the hard drive, also. I just tried playing a game off a USB flash drive, and got the same black screen once.

What does the Exception (DSI) mean, and how do I trouble shoot this?

    Thanks for any help.

    Here's my SysCheck:

    edit 4/15/2011:

OK, I finally found this piece of information:

[NTFS USB Loading will only work with Hermes cIOS222/223 v4+ or with cIOSx Rev19+]

I'm using later versions of the cIOS, but I'm now trying the same model hard drive formatted FAT32. Would someone please confirm or deny if NTFS format could be the problem? How about telling me if my SysCheck shows any thing wrong?

Sorry if I'm making some stupid mistake that's been answered already. I really have been reading, searching and trying different things. Appreciate any feedback at all.

    Thanks.

    I recommend FAT32

also I would install cIOS222/223 as rev 4 and 249 as rev 17 or 19

Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here

Thanks, Shift_Lock. Changing to FAT32 made a huge difference. I haven't seen a black screen since, and now WiiFlow and USB Loader GX are working! I'm updating all my cIOS to recommended versions (not necessarily the latest, as I assumed).
