    Wipe Used Wii

I bought a used wii from someone and they already have it soft-modded. It comes with an sd card and everything on it. So it already has the homebrew channel and a few other mods (usb...etc).

What i want to do is completely clean it up and start from scratch. That is, i want to unmod it if i can, and then remod it with the latest and greatest. I don't want to have anything from the older user on it, including their saves (that should be easy to clean up tho).

My wii is at 4.2u right now, which is a good thing if i read everywhere correctly. What would be the recommended steps to do the above things i mentioned. Also, what are some recommended mods/channels that i should put on the wii when it's rebuilt? I have a large usb harddrive i can use hopefully.

    Thanks

Introduce Yourself. Then click the Softmod ANY Wii in my sig to update your Wii, no need to clean it/unmod it.

Thanks but i want to clean it up and redo everything on my own or understand what i have/don't have installed. I have no idea what is done with this wii and want to make sure it's all updated and working properly. That's the reason why i want to restart everything if possible. I don't care if it takes me a while to do, i like to learn new things

and that is the purpose of doing the softmod again, as it will overwrite everything there when you redo it. Take it or leave it, your choice. Thread closed.
