Wiimotes desync after any screen change

Hello Wiihacks, hopefully you can help me out with this..

got a 4.2u black wii back in october 2010 and did a softmod following "Softmod any 4.2 wii" that I found here. got everything working neatly, then came Donkey Kong Country Returns and I had to do someupdates, again, everything went perfect, around january, I had no chance to play on the wii for a month and a half, and now, fifteen days ago I tried to, but the wii remotes wouldn't sync, that's very weird...

    Problem goes like this:
At booting the console, wiimotes are Desynchronized.
after red button sync (the only one that works) and then going to HBC, they loose synch again.
launching a VC game channel will desync them again, (here I can synch using red button)
same goes for launching a gamedisc...
problem is with homebrew applications, and the most worrying, the console cannot remember it's controllers

Tried all the solutions at the Nintendo troubleshooter and didn't work, now I'm not sure which steps to take in order to fix this, just today I got myself a GC controller from a friend so I can move around in menus. Any Help is more than welcome!!

    thanks

    anyone? pinpoint?? help? scold? anyone?

At first, chances are that your softmod is incomplete or gone since you updated.
Follow the softmod any wii guide (properly this time, as you didn't set up priiloader the right way last time) to softmod it again.

It's actually normal for the wiimotes to desync this much, only normally you don't notice it since they reconnect on pressing any button (which you have to do at the health and safety screen)

So your problem seems to be resyncing the wiimotes.
    Try this:

Unplug your wii for 15-30 minutes
Turn the wii on and hold the sync button on the wii for 15 seconds while on the health and safety screen (this will reset all synced wiimotes)
Then press the sync button on the wii again and the sync button on your wiimote (the red one in the battery compartment)

This should completely reset the synced wiimotes and resync them properly. After that it should work.

Hello, Thanks a lot for your help!
unfortunately, I've done the recommended 15-30 mins off (the wii is mostly unplugged when not in use, we don't like vampire energy users), Priiloader is up and running since I followed the softmod guide...

I got a gamecube controller some weeks ago, and I've been reinstalling the IOS' that came with the softmod with no advance, I'm taking my wii today to a checkup.. want to discard if this is another case of busted bluetooth module..

    again, thank you!

    again, thank you!
A broken bluetooth module would cause the wiimotes not to sync at all (since they connect with bluetooth)
Also, it would just start up to a black screen if the module was broken (though priiloader might still work, it would blackscreen if you hit system menu)

Hi, just came back, changed the bluetooth module and it worked right away, I was told that a failure in the Wi-fi module renders the video unusable.
for some reason, the console's bluetooth was broken.

so this issue is solved, thanks to a bluetooth replacement.

    thank you ganoderma!
