Well, I figured out that Wiimc works fine offline but over FTP it freezes and artifacts every single time. I guess the FTP part is the major issue I have with that program. This is not a problem because I decided to transfer all of my video files to an external HD and now everything is fine.

That might be but I'm having the same issue with Mplayer CE as well. However, lots of other people are having that issue as well with the FTP part of that program. I'm not sure what the problem is but like I said, I've transferred my files to my external HD so things are ok now.

I have no problems with either program.
All of my files stream flawlessly. Try using a linksys router. Hands down best IMO.

Ok people, I figured out what was wrong with my set up: My WD 1TB Passport goes into sleep mode in a short amount of time.
Does anyone know how to fix this for Wii?

Thanks for the info but I've already tried that and WD doesn't have anything to help this issue yet. I've done lots of research on this the last couple of days. For now, I'm using a Seagate drive and it seems to work flawlessly for videos. However, I still want to find out how to fix it on my WD drive.
