Need help for hd set up

Okay how is everyone today? Okay recently I bought a soft- mod wii. Cool. I don't know how they did it, or should I say, which route they used..but It works. I successfully backed up my games and they work great, thanks to you guys. Okay as I can tell my wii is a 4.2, I have homebrew (which is upside down), loadmii, and config unloaded, and neogamma r7. I don't even know if they are outdated....lol, anyway, I want to put them on my wiihdd. Yes I know. Read the forums,but its still not clicking in my head...probably bc since I didn't mod it in the first place, I get a little lost and i just don't want to mess up. All I want to do is use this wii bff for my games. Please help me......Wii hrs for dummies......:)

You need to re install HB to flip it the right way up. Post a sys check and we can see what is going on with you internals.

okay i put everything on my sd card, now how do i run the system check through homebrew, is there sort of option?

yeah i looked there, but when i get to my hb channel i dont know how to run it? Am i that dumb? lol

i think i found the problem, its not reading that sd card, and its a sandisk...duh know, gonna get me another

it should work on you sd card? do you have it in the apps folder and shows up in the HBC click on it to start it up

Sandisk are compatible. In fact, the best compatible.
Make sure the SD card is like
SD/apps/syscheck/boot.dol (or whatever the name of the folder is in apps, it doesn't matter)
Then simply launch it from the hbc.

As long as IOS34 and IOS58 aren't patched. A couple of months ago I accidentally patched 58 and the HBC flipped; I just had to install a clean 58 and it corrected itself. I don't know if re-installing is absolutely necessary with the recent revs of the HBC because it seems to be able to correct itself when you remove the patches from 34 or 58. At least it did for me.

well my problem is i didnt intitailly mod this wii. So im lost. i dont know where to start at except the sys check, but i cant even get my wii to read it. What are you guys talking about apps folder? i cant even see whats on the card, it didnt have anything on it before i added the system check contents,

All homebrew programs go in a folder on your SD or HDD called apps. That's what they are talking about.
