    Vanilla Black Wii (4.3)

    Hello.

I've just bought a new Black Wii with the 4.3u firmware.

I've been googling for a week now on softmodding it. I think I've gotten a handle on most aspects, and how-tos. I just want to make sure I've got it all, and understand everything before I even attept to start the mod process.

I have a 1GB SD card (non-SDHC) a new WD Passport (320GB) and my internet connection setup for channel updates.

I have the latest version of HackMii Installer, and I will be using "Return of the Jodi"

Here comes my issues thus far...

1)The black 4.3 Wii has a drive that will NOT take any burned discs??
    a) is this overcome by a cISO install?
    b) What are the [c]ISOs? What are they're purpose?

    2) I plan to use USB Loader gx. (I see rev2.1 out) Can I get that to work with 4.3?
    a) Refering back to my issue 1a - Do I need a specific ISO file/install/whatever to use it?
    b) How do I find out what ISO I have.

I know this is alot so far, but I'm getting nowhere finding consistant answers via google searches for the 4.3 firmware, and proper unlocks using a USB Loader.

    Thanks in advance.

New wiis wont read backup discs full stop that is why you need a hdd to run the games from.

I think you mean (c)IOS(s) instead of (c)ISO(s)
    1 Yes
1a No, it is the drive chipset, and thus hardware related
1b They are used to load games, channels and more sytem menus.

2 Yes, if I am not mistaking you can
2a No, you need to put the app on your sd card in the apps folder and launch it with the hbc
2b Why do you want to? I think you want a list of them, then use system check. Link is in my signature.

And you hadn't had to google if you didn't made a post here (introduce yourself)... You then even had not to post all these questions

Looks like even two people beated me to it. But I will leave my post
