you do not want to update from 4.1 to anything. 4.1 is the best place to be.

Ok well, i thought by doing this i can stick only to one exploit method of hacking wii's. Instead following 3 different tutorials.

No need to follow 3 tutorials you should follow the 4.1 tutorial.

there is only one guide you need to follow for ANY wii http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html
The only real difference is the exploit to get hbc in there.

Hey skelli ..thanks for reply.. Oh do we follow th same set of steps for all the versions of wii ?( of course apart from the way hbc is installed using exploit discs in 4.3) - I really didnt know this. i have softmodded 11 wii's so far and i keep confusing myself with three different guides.

If this is the case, iam so glad because mauifrog guide is clean and clear - can follow it as universal guide for all versions..

If you notice in the guide, the only thing that is SM specific is chapter 1. Everything else is the same. If you have a 4.3 then you wont need to do the update ios section and if you have 4.1 you will not need to install that. Other than that it's all the same. It's the swiss army knife of guides... be sure to thank Maui for that!
