Lightbulb So, my nightmare scenario may be here...

I purchased a copy of the new Lego Star Wars game. On pg. 2 of the manual, it clearly states:
Please note that when first loading the Game Disc into the Wii console, the Wii will check if you have the latest system menu, and if necessary a Wii system update screen will appear. Press OK to proceed.
When the system menu is updated, unauthorized hardware and/or software modifications may be detected and unauthorized content may be removed causing the immediate or delayed inoperability of your console. Failure to accept the update may render this game, and future games unplayable. Please note that Nintendo cannot guarantee that unauthorized software or hardware accessories will continue to function in the Wii console after this, or future updates of the Wii system menu.
    Crap.

Well, I've got the latest Priiloader installed with "Block Disk Updates", "Block Online Updates", "Remove Diagnostic Disc Check", "Move Disc Channel" enabled on it. I have current IOS's as far as I know -- unless this game comes with a new one.

Is Priiloader going to allow me to pop this puppy in without bricking my wii, or updating my system menu from 4.1U mod to 4.3? (or whatever it is now)???

Using disc channel for this game is ideal for me, as a 5 year old will be playing this. I suppose if worse comes to worse, I'll make a scrub ISO backup, and put it on USB HDD, but I just wanted some clarification of what Priiloader is going to do.

Anyone have experience(s) with this System Menu Update message? Sheesh. Makes me feel bad for legally buying games. It my Wii ffs.

Anyhow, cheers, and tks in advance.

    Wow.....you read the book???
Priiloader will do the job, you should not even see the system update screen. If you do see it that means that priiloader is not properly configured.

I thank you all so much. I was hoping Priiloader would just skip the update partition.

It makes me breathe easier to know it'll be ignored. I'm sure Priiloader's set up properly, because Mauifrog's mod tutorial was aces!

EDIT: popped it in, and sure enough -- Phew! Works like a charm... like the update partition doesn't exist at all. Thanks for helping me breathe easier.
