I have some questions about playing different region games on a Wii.

Well I have a US Wii, but I live in Korea, so I'm thinking about playing Korean games on my Wii. But I have some questions about playing games from other regions.

1. Is it ok to have save files of games from different regions in the same Wii console?
As in, for example, having an NTSC-U Brawl save and a Korean Mario Kart save file?
Will it not cause any problems?

2. Can I play online with games from different regions? Will I be able to share friend codes even if I'm using a Wii that's not of the same region as the game I'm playing? I really need to know this because I'm thinking about buying the Korean version of Mario Kart Wii.. :(

If you enable Priiloader to make everything region-free, then yes. Depending on your TV, the video may or my not mess up. If it does, back up the game to a USB, and Force NTSC.

I assume. You can test it by creating a dummy account on Mario Kart Wii KOR, do a few races, and see what happens.

I don't think friend codes are your problem but connecting to a Korean server on a US Wii to play Mario Kart online may be a problem without changing your Wii's region to K. I've never been able to connect to any servers other than US with my US Wii. I have tried to connect to both Japanese and European servers with multiple games and have never had luck...Just error codes. I don't think this one is possible without a region swap.

I'll try using Guitar Hero 3 when I get the chance, and let you know if it works or not :P
