Received soft modded Wii w/o knowing. Need help connecting to the internet
I recently rcieved a softmodded wii w/o knowing much about what soft modding really is. After coming to this site and reading many of the forum tutorials, I now have a better senses of modding. However, since my was Wii was soft modded by someone else, i have no clue how to use the tutorials or where to start. My system version is 4.2u and my wii is connected to a 500gig usb drive that currently has 100 games on it.
When I turn on the wii, the following unfamiliar channels come up: wii back up launcher, homebrew channel, USB loader GX channel, Neogamma R8 B7 backup launcher channel, and a Mplayer AX channel. I have no idea how most of these channels work. The wii back up launcher allows me to play the usb games. When I click on the channel a page comes up that says Neogamma (SD/SDHC/USB/DVD loader) at the top and Neogamma R6 IOS249 (Rev 14) at the bottom.
What do I need to do to be able to get on the internet? If maintaing a soft mod from a previous owner is too tough for me, is there a way that I can remove the soft mod and get the original wii software settings. Also, I have another wii that is not soft modded (primarily used by my kids), if I wanted to softmod that, could I still use the games that I have on my current usb?
any help is greatly appreciated!
I introduced myself and I read the how to post a system check link....but i have no idea what i am looking for or what i am supposed to be doing at that link. Is the system check link supposed to tell me how to figure out how my wii was soft modded? Is there anywhere on here that will allow me to undo the soft mod and do it again?

If you are just getting started then you might want to review and follow the Softmod Any Wii guide found in my signature. Doing that will insure that your system is up to date and is installed with the proper brick protection. At the same time you will get to see first hand some of the basics on how things are done.
You can also review this as it might help you.
