    Streaming from iphone to wiimc

Hi have installed wiimc and can successfully stream videos through my wireless network to the wii using wiimc. I can also play movies direct from the USB hardrive plugged into my wii. I have tried to stream from the iphone by entering it's IP address, but I cannot get wiimc to connect to it. There is no username and password on the iphone and I have tried entering the directory (sorry, I forget the exact name and don't have the wii on at the mo) as 'videos' as it is on the iphone or leaving it blank, still it cannot connect.

Has anyone tried this / can offer advice? Failing that, can I plug the iphone into the wii through usb and use it like an external hard drive (to scared to try!).

Any tips welcome, I just want to watch flims on the iphone through the TV...

    Thanks

Not possible to do I think. Only Media streaming the iPhone can do natively is AirPlay and that uses Bonjour, something the Wii does not have.

I had an app from cydia at one point that could share all the files in a certain folder on the phone just like you would with your computer. I can't remember what it was called but if you can find it I think it might be possible. Not very practical though. Ovcourse the files will have to be something that is compatible with WiiMC too.
    Goodluck

Think you mean OpenSSH and Auto SSH. Those still won't let you use WiiMC. SSH lets you start an SSH session with the phone where you can command it remotely or (S)FTP into it.

No it wasnt SSH. As long as I had the program running I could acces all the files in that folder from any computer on the network just like it was another computer sharing the files. Now I just wish I knew what it was called. I redid my phone and never bothered finding it again. If this guy really wants it and can't find it I'll try finding it again though.

Maybe it could have been xDrive?

Allows you to access the iPhone system on any computer by entering it's IP

Possible, I know I have used that before by name but can't remember all it could do. I played with a few before realizing I didn't actually need them. Think that will work for what this person is looking to do?

Thanks guys. Wireless streaming is a 'nice to have', but not essential. Airplay seems to be audio only and googling "xDrive" suggests it is a defunct online storage solution so am not sure about that. As there doesn't seem to be any clear cut solution, I will employ other means to get the film to the TV. Thanks again.
