    Question Wii problem...

i have had my wii modded for about 1-2 yrs. its on 4.1u. when it got modded a friend did it cause i never did one before. but since its been done i have done a bunch and always followed the guides on this site, the guides posted in the topic of wiihacks on irc, EFNet. yesterday i tried to play a retail game for the first time since i had it and it didn't work. after speaking with MrWatson and lickalott they said it sounds like the kid used pimp my wii to hack it. i ran syscheck and did a pastebin and here is what it showed. Paste2: Next Generation Pastebin - Viewing Paste 1212063 . they said it looks like the iso's aren't right. i asked is there any way i can get it back to factory and just follow the guide in the topic cause i have done a few wii's using that and had no problems. i then modded a friends wii today using again the topic and posted his syscheck. his wii was on 3.1u and i updated it to 4.1u. that wii's syscheck looked like this Paste2: Next Generation Pastebin - Viewing Paste 1213102. so what do i have to do to get the correct iso's on my wii and start over and follow the guide. my system is on 4.1u now.

    thanks

Scratch that. To ensure you're the most up to date you can be run the softmod any wii guide in my signature. It's untelling what your wii has had done to it and that's the best way to ensure that you have a reliable set up. Good luck!

edit: there's an option in that guide for users with homebrew channel installed already. Follow that part.

Your IOS's arent bad, their just not up to date for playing from the disc channel. If you plan on never playing a retail disc then your IOS's are fine for strictly playing backups. If you want to play a newer game from the disc channel then you will need to update your IOS's. This guide is fine, I used it a few times, it's quick and easy, but youare still going to need to update more IOS's after running that guide.

So long as the IOS is present (any revision), there should not be issue. A missing IOS would net you a black screen. All I'm saying applies in a case if original/retail disc via disc channel. If you're that worried, Joostin has a guide on updating your IOS.

ok, here is what i did. i re did the softwii guide from this forum: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html after doing this i followed Joostin's guide on updating your IOS. then ran the cIOSrev 21 installer cause none of the games would boot of my hd giving me ciso errors. now they boot and i am also able to retail games from the disc channel were i was unable to before. this is the new system check Paste2: Next Generation Pastebin - Viewing Paste 1218176. i have no idea what i am looking at or what is write or wrong from looking at that can someone please tell me if its ok?

    thanks

I would have kept 249 as rev17 [38] and 250 can be what you want like rev21. If you want, install hermes 222, 223, and 224.

You can post your system check on the forums using the spoiler tags.
